Cameroon REDD Community Consultations and Civil Society Workshop
Participants in a workshop held on 30 June 2010 in Yaounde have
called for concrete measures to recognise the rights of forest
peoples in all REDD policies and actions. They have challenged
the flawed finance mechanisms of REDD in Cameroon.

Baka forest communities at the Green & Black's Rainforest
Garden, Chelsea Flower Show, London
A group of Baka and Bagyeli women were invited to recreate a
forest dwelling within a rainforest setting at London's Chelsea
Flower Show, and their garden was awarded a Gold Medal. This
press information provides background to the situation of indigenous
peoples in Cameroon, and the threats to their traditional use
of the forest.
