Call
for international solidarity: police force and authorities in Panama
have repressed peaceful protests by Kuna leaders and community members
in Madungandi.
More than 90 Kuna protesters, who were demonstrating to once again
call for fair compensation for damages suffered for more than 30 years
due to flooding of their lands by the Bayano Dam, are being held in
jail and have so far been refused the right to speak to their lawyers
