This is the first full annual report of the Global Network on Indigenous-Led Education (ILED) since the network was created in 2021. FPP is one of the founding members of the network and actively supports its secretariat.

Between February 28 – March 3, 2022, the Chepkitale Indigenous Peoples’ Development Project (CIPDP) and FPP organized a 3-day Indigenous Women’s Exchange at Chepkitale, Mount Elgon, Kenya.

Immaculata Casimero is a Wapichan woman and is a member of the Wapichan Wiizi Women’s Movement, as well as being Communications Officer at the South Rupununi District Council. She spoke to us about her work carrying out women’s rights workshops in communities, how the Wapichan peoples are affected by climate change, and how indigenous voices were represented at COP26 in Glasgow in November 2021.
