Report from the Project’s Global Monitoring & Evaluation Meeting 9-11 February 2017 in Pekanbaru, Indonesia.
A key programme in FPP is the community-based forest monitoring work supported to promote community livelihoods, and underpin advocacy work to achieve forest and land sector reforms. This programme is supported by the Forest Governance, Markets and Climate (FGMC) programme, DFID’s flagship global programme on forests. The community monitoring programme aims to promote momentum for positive change and reform in the forest sector and commodity supply chains in favour of greater recognition and respect of forest peoples’ rights and more effective local and global actions to tackle weak forest governance and deforestation.
Following several in-country monitoring and evaluation activities, FPP organised a three-day global Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) meeting in Pekanbaru, Indonesia, from 9 to 11 February 2017 to drive organisational and partner learning on the results achieved to date with this work, and to engage in reflective planning for future development and consolidation of this work.
