Second Regional Workshop on Gender and Land and Forest Tenure

The Second Regional Workshop on Gender and Land and Forest Tenure in Africa will take place from the 9th to the 14th of October 2012 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Organised by the Réseau des Femmes Africaines pour la Gestion Communautaire des Forêts (REFACOF), Rights and Resources Initiative (RRI), and the Forest Peoples Programme (FPP), this workshop will bring together upwards of fifty participants from approximately fifteen African countries and will focus on questions of gender, human rights, climate change (including the REDD programme), and legal reforms on forests and land that are taking place in the African continent.
