Soap, lipsticks, chocolate or perfumes are products not usually associated with deforestation and human rights abuses in the tropics. However, as one of their components is palm oil, these abuses can easily occur. WRM has brought together research and local struggles in a book designed as a tool for action, and including three representative cases from Africa, Asia and Latin America.
