National Commission on Indigenous Territories (CNTI)

The National Commission for Indigenous Territories (CNTI), is  a space for dialogue and consultation between Indigenous Peoples and the National Government, created by Decree 1397 of 1996 to address issues related to the guarantee and effective enjoyment of the territorial rights of the indigenous peoples of Colombia.

The National Commission of Indigenous Territories (Comisión Nacional de Territorios Indígenas - CNTI) is made up of 10 delegates representing the following organisations: Confederación Indígena Tayrona (CIT), Organización Nacional de los Pueblos Indígenas de la Amazonía colombiana (OPIAC), Organización Nacional Indígena de Colombia (ONIC) and its macro-regional organisations, Autoridades Indígenas de Colombia por la Pachamama AICO and Autoridades Indígenas de Colombia-Gobierno Mayor. In addition, Aida Quilcué, Indigenous Senator of the Republic of Colombia, Alfonso Peña Chep and Francisco Rojas Birry constituents.
