Bagyeli’s Cultural and Development Association (BACUDA)

Bagyeli’s Cultural and Development Association (BACUDA) is an organization created in BIDOU I on June 17, 2007 in the District of Lokoundjé Ocean Department, South Region. BACUDA is a non-profit association according to Cameroonian law, legalized in 2014. BACUDA exists to combat cases of abuse, defend the rights and interests of indigenous peoples, promote citizenship, education, health, and income-generating activities with the consent of indigenous peoples. BACUDA is headed by a dynamic president, BILOA Jeanne, who is also the focal point of the RACOPY network (Réseau Recherches Actions Concerté Pygmées) in Ocean. BACUDA’s activities extend across the Ocean Department and the organisation is open to any concerted action aimed at the same objectives.
