Centre pour l’Environnement et le Développement (CED)
Centre pour l'Environnement et le Développement (Centre for the Environment and for Development) - CED was formally established in 1995, in response to the forest management crisis experienced in Cameroon during the early 1990s. Its scope of intervention has gradually expanded to include issues related to the extractive industries (oil, mining), perceived as threats to the rights of populations and the environment. CED has developed expertise in environmental advocacy, mainly in Cameroon and Central Africa, with a focus on the rights of local and indigenous communities.
