Sütsuin Jieyuu Wayúu or Fuerza de Mujeres Wayuu (Force of Wayuu Women) was founded in 2006 in order to denounce human rights violations against Colombia's indigenous Wayuu people. The Wayuu live in La Guajira, a peninsula in the far north of Colombia - a largely arid region which stretches along the Venezuelan border.

They have suffered human rights abuses as a result of the mining mega-projects in the region, along with forced displacement, the armed conflict, the continued presence of armed groups and the militarisation of the Guajira territory.

The Wayuu women have been historically organised in defence of their land, environment and right to self-determination. They have denounced many human rights violations committed in La Guajira, and act as a reference in the promotion of human rights in the region. The Fuerza de Mujeres Wayuu also raises awareness of the disproportionate effects that conflict and displacement have on women, and seeks to empower and improve the skills of indigenous women.
