Who we are
Forest Peoples Programme (FPP) is a human rights organisation working with forest peoples around the world, providing them with legal support, advice and expertise across Asia, Africa and Latin America. Our global team has expertise in law, land rights, environment, indigenous affairs, which we share with our partners to ensure they have the tools and the knowledge to protect their rights to their lands, livelihoods and culture. Crucially, we don’t call the shots: we support forest peoples to make their own decisions that will shape their future.

Vision
Forests are owned and controlled by forest peoples in ways that ensure sustainable livelihoods, equity and well-being based on respect for their rights, knowledge, cultures, and identities.
Mission
FPP supports the rights of peoples who live in forests and depend on them for their livelihoods. We work to create political space for forest peoples to secure their rights, control their lands and decide their own futures.
