The paper reviews a series of COP26 outcomes considered to be of particular relevance to indigenous peoples, and analyses to what extent these outcomes may constitute specific threats or opportunities for indigenous peoples. Finally, it sets out some recommendations that indigenous rights advocates may find useful for their advocacy with governments, companies, investors, and philanthropic organisations.

In this letter, we would like to take the opportunity to reiterate some serious concerns we have with the on-going consultation process in the updating and reviewing of the World Bank’s current 8 social and environmental safeguards, and concurrent discussion of the identified emerging issues.

The 3rd edition of 'What is REDD+? A guide for indigenous communities' is now available here. This book seeks to help indigenous communities and their organisations to provide their people with basic information on REDD+.
