Benet Mosop Indigenous Community Association (BMCA)

Benet Mosop indigenous communit association is now an NGO formed by the Indigenous Benet people of Mount Elgon. It was formed in 2012 by the concerned Benet people and its fully registered with the NGO forum at the ministry of internal affairs.

It comprise of the Men, Women and the Youth and its formation is to champion the plight of its people who are not only facing the problem of forceful evictions but marginalization, discrimination and Human rights abuses.

Mount Elgon forest and the moorland areas is their ancestral Homelands that were made public protected area without their prompt and meaning full consultation from government of Uganda.
