Video: Indonesia's Wambon Tekamerop and their relationship with their forest - now threatened by oil palm

This short film was produced by Pusaka in 2020, documenting the indigenous Wambon Tekamerop's relationship with their ancestral rainforest in Kali Kao, Papua Province, Indonesia.
The rainforest is a place for their traditional rituals, and a source of food and medicine. Since 2014, Kali Kao has been threatened by the expansion of oil palm plantations. Losing their rainforest will impact the Wambon Tekamerop's relationship with nature, which is the source of life.
