Call for strengthened terms of reference for the new ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Human Rights Body

200 individuals and organizations have endorsed a call for the Foreign Ministers of ASEAN countries to strengthen the terms of reference (TOR) for the new ASEAN Human Rights Body which is expected to be established later this year. The current TOR has no protection or investigation mandate which inexcusably weakens the body to a merely promotional role.
