The Accountability Framework initiative (AFi)
The Accountability Framework initiative (AFi) is a collective effort of diverse organisations dedicated to protecting forests, natural ecosystems, and human rights by establishing common definitions, norms, and good practices for delivering on companies’ ethical supply chain commitments.
Through the Accountability Framework, the AFi provides comprehensive guidance to help companies eliminate deforestation, ecosystem conversion, and human rights abuses from their commodity supply chains. It does this by offering practical tools, resources, and strategic support, the AFi helps businesses adopt responsible production practices, assess supply chain impacts, and develop effective systems to implement and measure progress. The Accountability Framework serves as a unified standard, guiding companies in setting ethical supply chain goals, taking meaningful action, and reporting their achievements.
