The Centre d’Encadrement Communautaire pour le Développement (CECD)

The Centre d’Encadrement Communautaire pour le Développement (CECD) was founded as a non-profit organisation in March 2024 in Ouesso, in the Sangha Department of the Republic of Congo. Its objectives are: 

1. contribute to the promotion and defence of human rights, particularly of vulnerable populations;
2. contribute to the struggle against the destruction of lands and forests;
3. contribute to the sustainable management of natural resources;
4. contribute to the social development of local communities and indigenous peoples (IPLCs);
5. promote the use of clean and renewable energies;
6. promote citizenship education and oppose unethical social behaviours.
