16 February 2012. Lima, Peru. The Asháninka organisation of the Ene river (CARE) presented their appeal for an injunction to the High Court of Peru against the Peru-Brazil energy accord. The injunction is part of their bid to prevent violation of the rights of the Asháninka whose territories on the Ene river are threatened by hydroelectric dams. Press release available in Spanish.
