Looking Ahead: Sixth Meeting of the CBD Working Group on Article 8(j) and Related Provisions 2-6 November 2009, Montreal, Canada

Key agenda item to focus on how Article 10(c) - relating to customary use of biological resources – can be implemented by Parties to the CBD as a matter of priority. Indigenous peoples' organisations and NGOs, working closely with forest peoples and traditional resource users and with FPP support, have addressed this in 6 country case studies. They hope to have the opportunity to effectively contribute to the meeting.
