Developing the global post-2020 framework to protect biodiversity
This technical submission into the CBD process for elaborating a post-2020 global biodiversity framework provides views from the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity, the International Women’s Biodiversity Network, Forest Peoples Programme, and several indigenous peoples' organisations and networks. The submission looks at the scope, content and structure of the post-2020 global biodiversity framework and on resource mobilisation and the collective action of indigenous peoples and local communities. It raises critical issues regarding the centrality of indigenous peoples in delivering the scope of ambition and change needed to effectively stem global loss of biodiversity.
