Human rights situation in Uganda - Supplementary Report to the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights
In collaboration with the United Organisation for Batwa Development in Uganda (UOBDU) and the International Work Group for Indigenous Affairs (IWGIA), FPP submitted a supplementary report to the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights to provide information to the Commission on the human rights situation of the Batwa in Uganda. This report was to be considered by the Commission during its 40th ordinary session which took place in Banjul, The Gambia from 15-29 November 2006, at which Uganda's first periodic state report under the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights was to be examined. FPP and UOBDU also participated in the session and delivered an oral statement to the Commission on the situation of the Batwa.
