Press statement: A murder in the indigenous territory of Riosucio, Colombia
This morning, December 4, 2018, at approximately 8am, 41-year-old Edison de Jesús Naranjo Navarro was murdered in the Nuestra Señora Candelaria de La Montaña Indigenous Reservation in Riosucio, Caldas, Colombia.
The community member, who had reported death threats against him, was shot in the chest while on his way to the El Oro community's refrigeration and milk collection plant.
